Our Story
We are Jenny McCray and Jessica Donehue- sisters, best friends and the author and illustrator of Hatventures of Hope and Braving the Storm. Our books were inspired by our dear friend, Lindsay Giannobile, and her diagnosis with breast cancer. These stories were written with purpose and intention- striving to bring hope to other cancer affected families and wishing to fill a gap in children's literature by providing resources on a topic that is often difficult to talk about.
Our Inspiration
In 2016, after a five and a half year battle with breast cancer, Lindsay Giannobile gained her wings at the age of 33 years old. She was a force, an influence and a gift to everyone who had the privilege of being touched by her life. She braved the storms of cancer with purpose, faith and grace and her legacy continues on through an annual For Lindsay fundraiser- fulfilling her wish to continue the fight for other cancer affected families even in her absence. Our Community
Our objective has always been to be a bright spot to families facing cancer and we have been blessed to walk alongside an incredible tribe of givers. It is through the support and donations of others that we have been able to gift copies of Hatventures of Hope and Braving the Storm to thousands of families and children all over the country.
